T-Bar and HELI-Stand Spindle Set

The IKA HELISTAND motorized holder allows you to reliably measure the viscosity of highly viscous samples. The holder slowly and evenly moves the mounted viscometer and its rotating body up and down the sample.

Highly viscous samples, such as creams, pastes, paints or gelatin, cause static viscometers to operate under vacuum. These substances are so viscous that they are pushed towards the edge by rotational movements. An air channel is then created around the rotating body, so that the torque acting in these circumstances is no longer significant. The IKA HELISTAND avoids this problem by using slow up and down movements.

In combination with the included T-spindles for non-flowing samples, this allows valid viscosity measurements to be obtained.
