BYK washability and abrasion equipment
Both coated and uncoated surfaces must pass tests for resistance to abrasion caused by a brush, sponge, scouring pad, sandpaper or other means. Abrasion resistance can be tested by wet abrasion methods, using an abrasive medium or cleaning solutions. The most common applications are abrasion resistance tests on interior paints, tiles, shower enclosures and furniture surfaces. With the abrasion device you can examine the washability of a coating when trying to remove its stains. The performance of the detergents used can also be tested and determined, in a reproducible manner. |
