The Proceq™ DY-2 family of automated extraction testers covers the full range of extraction applications with unparalleled ease of operation and a unique ability to store a complete test record.
Pull-out testing is one of the most widely used testing methods in the construction industry. It is essential for the diagnosis of structural damage in buildings, as well as for the verification of complete renovation works.
Full range of applications covered
The three models of the DY-2 Family are differentiated by a maximum tensile force. While DY-216 (15.5 kN, 3485 lbf) covers most applications, DY-206 (6 kN, 1349 lbf) has greater accuracy for low strength applications, such as testing the adhesive strength of mortars and renders. The DY-225 (25 kN, 5620 lbf) can be used for very high strength applications, such as testing fiber-reinforced polymers bonded to concrete structures or testing the bond strength of repair and overlay materials.
Constant charging rate
One of the main influences on the result of a pull-out test is the influence of the operator in applying a constant load rate. The newly introduced DY-2 models with their integrated feedback-controlled motors eliminate this variable entirely, providing a fully automated test at a constant load rate that can be verified.
Unique in parameter setting
The DY-2 is further unique in that it records all test parameters required by the specification: test time and date, test disc size, maximum applied load, automatic bond strength calculation, bonding rate. applied load with graphical record, complete test time as well as failure mode. For the first time, the operator can provide a complete record of the startup test, demonstrating that the test was carried out in accordance with the applicable standard.
The DY-2 is also unique in that it records each of the test parameters required by the specification.-
