$1,295.00
SKU EXUP0061002
The body of the OG212 is made of machined aluminum and is economically priced.

Characteristics

  • Double measurement range, 1 mil per hashmark space above the line and 20 microns below the line scale.
  • Other uses include evaluation of substrate conditions and coating adhesion, and direct observation of microscopic cracking, brittle tendency, blistering, cratering, or other microscopic film symptoms.
  • Measures the thickness of coatings applied to wood, plastic, cement, glass, ceramics, mirror supports, metal, etc.
  • Helps measure the brittleness and adhesion of coatings and materials.
  • Supplied with 1X, 2X and 10X cutting tips installed in the gauge body. The 2X tip is shown extended in working position. An optional 5X cutting tip is available.
  • The pressure gauges come in a sturdy plastic case with a sharp-end wrench, permanent marker, spare LED bulb and spare batteries.
  • The body houses the microscope and lamp batteries, as well as tungsten carbide cutting tips for cutting grooves mounted on the narrow side
  • The tripod formed by the two guide studs and the extended/operable cutting tip allows the cutting tip to be precisely aligned with the coating surface to be incised.
  • A cord and hook attached to the body secure the instrument to the inspector's wrist.
  • A plastic (polypropylene) case with foam inserts to carry your Tooke Gage and spare parts: marker, wrench, LED bulb, and spare batteries.
  • The entire unit is designed to offer comfort and completeness in field inspection tasks.
  • Original factory/OEM calibration of optics is performed on all gauges when mounted. If OEM certification is desired, it can be requested at an additional cost. Repeat calibration with certification is also available, call for details. Checks are also carried out with precisely applied film patterns. For maximum precision work, the user is advised to maintain painted panels of known thickness, and periodically check and calibrate the instrument measurements.
  • The Tooke Gage Gauge has been used to evaluate sandblasting work, to measure the thickness of plating and paint on ceramic, metal, wood and concrete, and even to measure the thickness of protective coating on mirrors. It is practically the only tool to measure paint on plastics.
  • Tooke Gages produced after November 2019 now feature the new custom designed and manufactured Dual-Measure scope and reticle. Tooke Gages manufactured between June 2010 and November 2019 are equipped with the "universal" reticle. The universal reticle can be changed to the new Dual-Measure reticle - contact Gardco for information.
