PATTI - Analog Adhesion Tester K

Characteristics:

• The self-aligning PATTI-K® quantitatively measures the adhesion strength of numerous coatings, including: paints, polymers, ceramics, inks, films, adhesives, and thermal or arc-sprayed metals.
  
• Use in laboratory or field.
  
• The test surface can be smooth, rough, porous, flat or curved (contact us for application-specific solutions). Custom machined traction stops are available in any size, either flat or with a radius to accommodate curved surfaces.
  
• The PATTI-K® can also be used to test the strength of adhesives in non-room ambient conditions of 32 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit (0 to 100 degrees Celsius).
• The PATTI-K® features a patented piston design that ensures uniaxial alignment with the axis of the drive journal for a "true pull test." It aligns automatically, so there is no operator bias.

There is a different piston for each load range shown in the table below. It is recommended that you choose the piston whose midpoint test range is closest to the suspected tensile strength of its coating. For example, suppose your coating has a tensile strength close to 1000 psi. I would choose the F-2 piston option. Although the F-8 piston could test coating in this range, it would be at the lower end of the F-8's range. A supply pressure of at least 100 psig (up to 150 psig) is required. All pistons align automatically.
